HOLIDAY PARTY

We know it’s early, but we want to put together a team of Members we can count on to help set up and clean up. The meeting room always needs to be left as we found it when we leave. In the past it has always fallen to the Board/spouses to do this which just isn’t fair to us. We work hard all year and think it is only fair that Members help out more. At our BBQ this year, for the first time, everyone helped clean up and it was a breeze! Please volunteer to help out! …..and a BIG thank you for those members that already volunteered!!!!

September 2019 Club Meeting Info

Our next club meeting is on Tuesday, September 10, 6:00 pm, at the North Palm Beach Library.  SEND YOUR PICTURES!!!!!

Our guest speaker at the September meeting will be Gary Rothstein and he will talk about Wildlife Photography. Last year Gary spoke  and showed images from the Space Program….which was great! Gary will also be the judge for our final contest of the year!

The theme for the CONTEST is WILDLIFE.  All paid up members are invited to participate! Contest Rules September 2019

The monthly theme for September is SPORTS; so, send me up to six (6) great images. They must be emailed to me as ATTACHMENTS, at 72dpi, with the long side at 1200 pixels. I must have the images by Sunday, September 8.

Again, for the September meeting we are asking each member to submit one image that they can discuss, just like we did last month, the whywhen and where the image was taken (these are the important elements of your image) on how it was shot. And the reason for taking the image! Send the image as an attachment to the email, at 72 dpi with the long side at 1200 pixels. These must be in by midnight, Sunday, September 8th.

Also, for those members that have images on display in the Library we would like to change out some of the images to give it a fresh look. And, for all the new members you are welcome to bring in framed images for display. If you want to sell the images include the price on the rear of the image.

We need to help the LIBRARY on Friday, October 18 and Saturday October 19, by providing photographers for their 50TH Anniversary Celebration. They are converting the second floor into a miniature golf course (and the Lighthouse Camera Club is sponsoring hole number 13). Friday night s a wine and appetizer party for adults only. Saturday is for the kids and families. WE NEED VOLUNTEER TO PHOTOGRAPH BOTH EVENTS AND WE CAN SET UP A SCHEDULE AS WE DON’T NEED ANYONE TO BE THERE ALL DAY.
