Our next club meeting is on Tuesday January 9 at 6PM at the North Palm Beach Library.

Our monthly photo assignment is ‘BLACK & WHITE’

The photo assignment images must be sent by Sunday Jan 7

Send images to  jefforns@comcast.net up to ten images sized 72 dpi with the long side 1000-1200 PIXELS!.. If you do not know how to resize and export your images please let us know so we can help you! Also, images must be sent as attachments…..Not  embedded in the e-mail!

OUR PROGRAM WAS SCHEDULED TO BE WILLIAM LEONARD’S ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY. WILLIAM HAS SOME MEDICAL ISSUES AND WON’T BE ABLE TO ATTEND. SO, OUR PROGRAM WILL BE PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY BY OUR OWN PRESIDENT SANDRA WITH THE ABLE ASSISTANCE OF ROBERT EUSTICE.

We will also discuss setting dates for the following upcoming meet ups.

Hello LCC members,

Happy New Year, everyone!

I am happy to announce that I have developed a series of photography classes, one for each month. These sessions will cover a wide range of topics from beginner to advanced, and will be held at the North Palm Beach Library on the last Wednesday of each month. Each session will be 60-90 minutes.

The first session will be on JANUARY 31, 2018 AT 6:00 PM

This will be a basic introductory class covering:

• Basic camera modes
• Camera handling and the use of tripods
• Shutter speed, aperture, ISO and composition basics
• Downloading photos from your camera to a computer

Bring your camera!

There will be a signup sheet presented at the January club meeting.

Members: Free

Non-Members: $20.00 (Includes 2018 club membership) Please RSVP seats are limited.

WALT SCHOELLNAST WILL PRESENT A SLIDE SHOW ON HIS AND CAROLYN’S  TRIP TO ALASKA

SEND JEFF ANY IMAGES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE CRITIQUED…..IT IS A GREAT WAY TO LEARN AND IMPROVE

 ALL IMAGES FOR THE ABOVE MUST BE SENT TO JEFF BY SUNDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 12^th.

The October meeting was our annual pizza party and we also installed our exhibit. A great big thanks to all that assisted in the installation of the images and the party clean up.

Our guest speaker was club member Douw Smit which gave an awesome and informative presentation about Africa. If any club members are interested in a trip to Africa Douw will be going back in 2018. He is originally from Africa and is a wealth of knowledge.

We also had two new members join our club David Fenderson and Darleen Rowe.

Reminder on Tuesday August 8, we will have our first meeting at the North Palm Beach Library. At 6:00 pm social meet and greet and the meeting will start at 6:30 PM

Our August presentation will be William Leonard. He has been to our club before. William will do a presentation on architectural photography.   Feel free to google him and check out his website !

The Library is located at:  303 Anchorage Drive, North Palm Beach

This months theme is REFLECTIONS

Please note: 

The theme photo submissions should be images shot in 2017 as these are photo assignments. The only exception is when the theme is photographers choice.

The theme images should be e-mailed to Jeff no later than Sunday August 6

All images MUST be submitted as attached jpeg files (not embedded in the email), at 72 dpi, with the long side not exceeding 1200 pixels. If you need help with sending images please ask and someone will reach out to help you.
