Welcome to Photography By Steve daPonte The world around us is full of images that are dynamic and ever changing with time. Also – we need a few photographers at the Hot Cars and Chili festival  on January 28 at Anchorage Park.

The event starts around noon, and the Village Recreations Department wants some specific photos from our group for their newsletter.   If you can make it from 12 until around 4:30 (the awards photos will be taken at 3:30), please let Dina know (LitigatorBarbie@comcast.net) and she will provide further instructions on the types of photos they want.

We will attempt to include a slideshow  of the pictures you Car Photographers will take at the show at our February meeting, along with the Doors, Gates, and Windows (the February theme).   (Car windows could be rather interesting as well. )

It’s time to renew your membership to, (or join!) the Lighthouse Camera Club.

LCC 2021 Upcoming Field Trips

It’s time we plan some fun outside photo shoots. We have done these before and had great success in the imagery, weather conditions and just plain fun!

September:        We will meet at the Roosevelt Bridge, in Stuart, South end on Friday, September 24 at 6:30 PM……..sunset is at 7:14.

There are picnic tables in the adjacent park for those who want to bring food, snack or drinks….also a lot of restaurants nearby.

If we are lucky a train will come by at sunset and provide really good imagery.

October:              Early morning……we will meet at Dubois Park, in Jupiter on Saturday, October 23 at 6:30 AM………sunrise is at 7:23.

There are picnic tables in the adjacent park for those who want to bring food, snack or drinks.

Sunrise on the Lighthouse is beautiful.

November:         We will meet at Bethesda-By-the-Sea, in Palm BeachSaturday November 13 or 20 at around 5:30 to photograph the sunset behind the skyline of West Palm Beach.

This will be discussed at the club meeting to decide which date the membership would prefer.

Future Events:   One thought is a return to Palm Beach around the Society of Four Arts to shoot the sculptures and walk the bike trail; also allowing sunset of WPB.

Also, we would like to have a shoot for ‘Light Painting’, needing a very dark venue; out west near Okeechobee of a real dark spooky cemetery.

For these and any other ideas we need your, the Members, input!
